Responsibilities and Required Skills:

• Groom dogs according to breed standards or pet owner instructions
• Provide baths, haircuts, nail trims, and ear cleaning
• Ensure the safety and well-being of all dogs in the grooming area
• Demonstrate a sincere concern and sense of urgency to remedy any problem a customer may have
• Effectively coordinate the grooming schedule around other SPA services
• Perform client communications (phone calls, emails, greeting, report cards) in a timely manner according to Dogtopia policies and procedures
• Maintain cleanliness and sanitation standards in the grooming areas
• Ability to lift up to 50 pounds
• Ability to physically and comfortably interact with all dogs
• Ability to bend, stand, stoop, walk, sit or walk for long periods of time

Requirements:

• Passion for dogs and their well-being
• 2 year experience in dog grooming or 1 year experience post formal instruction//certification from a professional Groomer or a grooming school
• Knowledge of different breeds and their specific grooming requirements
