Evening And Weekend Groomer

The Dirty Dog Pet Services in Topeka, KS is looking for one Professional Pet Groomer to join our team. We are located on 3120 South Kansas Avenue. Our ideal candidate is self-driven, punctual, reliable, and open to learning new styles and methods to groom pets.

*You MUST have professional grooming experience to be considered for this role (as you will be alone most of the time). Experience grooming personal pets does not count!

*This position is part-time from 4pm-9pm, and from 9am-5pm on select weekends. If you cannot fill these time slots, please apply for our regular Groomer job role.

* We are also offering options for an independent groomer to rent a table and/or a room at our facility! Get in touch with us to talk more about this opportunity.

Job Duties:

Responsible for bathing, brushing, styling, and trimming nails of assigned dogs.

Must be willing to work one weekend per month.

Ensure all equipment and tools are kept clean and free of debris to prevent injury.

Perform pet parents requested styling, including but not limited to:

o Brushing using appropriate tools for the animals coats.

o Shaving using the correct blade length and clipper.

o Scissoring to the appropriate length

Go over any concerns with pet parents found during the grooming process, alerting them to any potential problems.

Make sure is groomed to appropriate salon standards and inform pet parent of completed process.

Ensure salon is free of hair and any potential slipping hazards throughout day, including after every pet.

Clean up any urine or feces left from the pet.

Report cards and before & after photos.

Available shifts and compensation: We have available shifts all days of the week. Compensation is $15.00 - $30.00/hour.
