Responsibilities:
- Supervise and monitor dogs in a daycare setting to ensure their safety and well-being.
- Engage in playtime activities with dogs, including fetch, tug-of-war, and interactive toys.
- Provide basic training and reinforcement of commands to encourage good behavior.
- Maintain a clean and sanitary environment by regularly cleaning kennels, play areas, and common spaces.
- Monitor dog interactions to prevent any aggressive or unsafe behavior.
- Provide excellent customer service by addressing client inquiries and concerns.
Qualifications:
- Experience in dog handling and care, such as working at a kennel, veterinary clinic, or animal shelter.
- Knowledge of dog behavior and the ability to recognize signs of stress or aggression.
- Basic understanding of dog training techniques and the ability to reinforce commands.
- Ability to handle dogs of all sizes and breeds with confidence and care.
- Strong communication skills to interact effectively with pet owners and team members.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and multitask effectively.
- Physical stamina to stand, walk, bend, and lift up to 50 pounds throughout the day.
Preferred Skills:
- Certification or training in dog grooming or veterinary assistance is a plus.
- Experience in animal restraint techniques for medical procedures or grooming purposes.
