Dog And Cat Boarding Kennel Attendant

Valley Pet Hotel is an extension of Valley Animal Hospital in Rialto CA.

EXPERIENCE WORKING IN AN ANIMAL FACILITY IS A MUST.

We are currently seeking a Kennel Assistant to join our team. The ideal candidate for this position will have previous experience handling dogs and Cats and enjoy working with both pets and their owners. Our Kennel Assistant is responsible for cleaning the kennels, cages and facility, feeding the dogs, taking them for walks and socializing them with other canines.

Kennel Assistants are also responsible for caring for cats, feeding, playing and exercising.

We also offer doggie daycare which will be included in the daily responsibilities of the the Kennel Assistant.

This is an opportunity to work in a fast-paced environment and learn from experienced professionals who are committed to keeping our dogs and Cats happy, exercised and healthy.

(Fluent in Spanish is a plus but not necessary)

Responsibilities:

• Help to feed and water pets.
• Clean and disinfect animal enclosures.
• Research animal needs to determine appropriate diets and home environments.
• Clean kennel surfaces and facility upkeep.
• Clean kennels, animal cages, or other animal holding areas.
• Shelter animals from inclement weather.
• Keep indoor and outdoor play areas clean and disinfected.
• Play and exercise animals as needed.

Occasional Responsibilities:

• Administering medications
• Making up treats for pets
• Inventory
• Dealing with unruly pets
• Walking pets
• Learning new procedures and operations and incorporating them into daily activities.
• Must be able to lift a least 50 lbs.

Job Type: Part-time

Pay: From $15.50 per hour

Expected hours: 12 – 22 per week
