We have an exciting opportunity for a DoD SkillBridge Intern to join our team with the Engineering Division.
** We are actively searching for qualified candidates for this potential opening; however, we do not have assurance at this time when the position will be finalized and opened. Because we have strong reason to believe the position will be approved soon, we are proceeding with identifying qualified candidates and conducting interviews. **
This is a temporary role not to exceed 24 weeks.
Objective
DoD SkillBridge program is an opportunity for Active-Duty Service members to gain valuable civilian work experience through specific industry training, apprenticeships, or internships during the last 180 days of service. SkillBridge connects Service members with industry partners in real-world job experiences
Current Training
Paths available:
- Realtime Spacecraft Network Engineering
- Get experience with the Spacecraft System Time Triggered Network
- Work with the Integrated Product Team to develop and test safety-critical networking
- Develop knowledge of the system design
- Collaborate with the Network Engineering team
- Learn to plan network testing and verification activities
- Learn to design and implement test procedures
- Spacecraft Cyber Security Engineering
- Develop cybersecurity requirements for spacecraft systems
- Learn to perform cybersecurity oversight and impact assessments
- Perform assessment for completeness of design and implementation throughout the
full software and hardware development lifecycle
- DevOps Software Engineering
- Gain experience with the operation and maintenance of lab environments hardware and software
- Provide technical and analytical guidance to project teams
- Develop and maintain DevOps pipelines
- Identify and document best practices and lessons learned across labs
Requisition Qualifications
- To have served at least 180 days in any of the U.S. Armed Forces
- To be within 180 days of separation or retirement from any of the U.S. Armed Forces (you may start your application prior to the 180 days)
- Must be on track to receive an Honorable Discharge
- Must have taken any service TAPS/TGPS
- Must have command approval to participate in the DoD SkillBridge program

Essential Functions
Work Environment
Generally, an office environment, but can involve inside or outside work depending on task.
Physical Requirements
Work may involve sitting or standing for extended periods (90% of time). May require lifting and carrying up to 25 lbs. (5% of time).
Equipment and Machines
Standard office equipment (PC, telephone, printer, etc.).
Attendance
Regular attendance in accordance with established work schedule is critical. Ability to work outside normal schedule and adjust schedule to meet peak periods and surge requirements.
