DoD SkillBridge Recruiting/Sourcing Intern

Aegis Aerospace is seeking a motivated and talented Recruiter (must be a qualified military recruiter for consideration) separating from the military to join our team as a DoD SkillBridge Recruiter/ Sourcer intern. Interns will need to be onsite at our Houston corporate office location. This program provides transitioning service members with valuable industry experience and skills to facilitate a successful transition from military service to civilian employment. As an intern at Aegis Aerospace Inc., you will have the opportunity to work on exciting projects and gain hands-on experience in various areas of our organization.

Responsibilities: 

• Partner with hiring teams to build effective sourcing, assessment, and recruiting strategies and approaches with an ability to manage customer/partner expectations.
• Build and maintain network of potential candidates through proactive market research and on-going relationship management; conduct in-depth interviews of potential candidates.
• Recruit passive candidates and gauge candidate fit and motivation rather than simply sell a role.
• Works collaboratively with the talent acquisition team to define, develop and implement recruiting strategies
• Assist and lead operations with onsite job fairs and other candidate networking events.
• Ability to creates target list to identify individuals within competitor companies
• Searches the internet using search engines (i.e. Boolean), user groups or blogs and other creative techniques to find qualified candidates.
• Cultivate and maintain an ongoing strong working relationship with business leaders and HR in order to understand the business units, facilitate workforce planning strategies and create a partnership that ensures a fast and simple hiring process.
• Drive offer process - including extending offers, closing candidates, and generating offer letters
• Other duties may be assigned.

Qualifications:

• Active duty military recruiter (current or prior) within 365 days of separation..
• Meet all eligibility criteria for the DoD SkillBridge program.
• Strong interest in aerospace and defense industries.
• Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills.
• Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Proficiency in using standard office software (e.g., Microsoft Office Suite).
• Familiarity with engineering principles and technical concepts is preferred.
• U.S. citizenship or legal authorization to work in the United States.
