Position Overview: As a Doctor of Psychiatry at our virtual psychiatric care company, you will lead our clinical team, providing guidance, oversight, and expertise in psychiatric care. This role requires a strong background in psychiatry, leadership skills, and the ability to conduct virtual sessions effectively. Additionally, you will oversee a team of Nurse Practitioners (NPs) and personally conduct or oversee Transcranial Magnetic Stimulation (TMS) sessions.
Responsibilities:
Clinical Oversight:
- Lead and supervise a team of Nurse Practitioners (NPs), providing guidance and support to ensure the delivery of exceptional psychiatric care.
- Collaborate with NPs to develop treatment plans, review patient progress, and make clinical decisions as needed.
- Conduct regular case reviews and provide feedback to optimize patient outcomes and maintain quality standards.
Virtual Psychiatry Sessions:
- Conduct virtual psychiatry sessions with patients, conducting comprehensive assessments, diagnosing conditions, and developing personalized treatment plans.
- Utilize evidence-based practices and therapeutic techniques to address a variety of psychiatric disorders, including depression, anxiety, bipolar disorder, and PTSD.
- Monitor patient progress through regular follow-up sessions and adjust treatment strategies as necessary.
Transcranial Magnetic Stimulation (TMS) Oversight:
- Personally conduct or oversee Transcranial Magnetic Stimulation (TMS) sessions for eligible patients.
- Ensure adherence to TMS protocols and safety guidelines during sessions.
- Collaborate with the treatment team to integrate TMS into comprehensive treatment plans for patients with treatment-resistant mental health conditions.
Leadership and Team Management:
- Provide leadership, mentorship, and support to the clinical team, fostering a collaborative and inclusive work environment.
- Lead by example, demonstrating clinical excellence, professionalism, and compassion in all interactions.
- Facilitate regular team meetings, trainings, and continuing education opportunities to promote professional development and growth.
Qualifications:
- Doctor of Medicine (MD) or Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine (DO) degree from an accredited medical school.
- Board certification in Psychiatry.
- Valid medical license to practice psychiatry in the jurisdiction of operation.
- Demonstrated experience in providing psychiatric care, preferably in a virtual or telemedicine setting.
- Experience with Transcranial Magnetic Stimulation (TMS) is highly desirable.
- Strong leadership skills with the ability to oversee a team of Nurse Practitioners effectively.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to establish rapport and build therapeutic relationships with patients.
