Job description

Raymond West is looking for a Divisional Controller (Systems) to join our finance team! We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced individual with General Contractor experience. This position will engage with our systems operations group to build sound processes and accurate reporting of individual job-level profit and loss reports. This position directs the accounting operation of the Systems Division including the purchasing, invoicing, and costing of orders. Prepares financial analyses of all Systems operations, including interim and final financial statements with supporting schedules for the use of management and outside auditors. The Systems Divisional Controller is responsible for maintaining the integrity of the company's financial accounting policies and procedures, accounting practices, the maintenance of its fiscal records, the preparation of divisional financial reports, and timely and accurate preparation and filing of statutory reports as needed. The position involves general accounting, record retention, internal auditing, cost accounting, budgetary controls, and commission management of the Systems Division. This position will include direct reporting to fully manage the Systems finance support staff.

Duties and Responsibilities:
Primary duties and responsibilities will vary with the specific position. Typical responsibilities are listed below. This list is not inclusive.
* Manage a staff in an assigned area to include planning and assigning projects/tasks to staff, making hiring, separation, and disciplinary recommendations, and conducting performance evaluations.
* Ensure staff development and coordinate training programs for new staff and identify training needs for current staff!
* Provide leadership for assigned staff.
* Manage employee's timecard utilizing the company's Time and Attendance system.
* Manage the operational activities within the Systems Finance
* Develop, organize, implement, and oversee programs, policies, and procedures.
* Ensure achievement of Systems Finance goals
* Render decisions with respect to key department issues impacting overall service and performance.
* Provide input to senior leadership for annual budgets.
* Direct and prepare reports for Finance Senior leadership.
* Participate in Company or Department projects.
* Ensure employees and team are following all Company Policies
* Works closely with other departments and communicate with all levels of employees, customers, and Manufacturers both verbally and in writing.
* Demonstrates drive and initiative.
* Maintains a professional attitude in all matters.
* Correspond with Vendors and respond to inquiries in a timely manner.
* Must be able to manage time efficiently.
* Development, analysis, and interpretation of statistical and accounting information to appraise operating results in terms of cash flow analysis, project profitability, performance against budget, and other matters bearing on the fiscal soundness and operating effectiveness of the Systems Division.
* Prepare Percentage of Completion workpapers based on Purchase Orders/Workbooks and completed milestones.
* Review costing and profitability on each job to prepare accurate commissions.
* Responsible for personnel in the Systems Division of the Finance Department to provide continued training and mentoring to keep the staff at the highest level of skill necessary to meet company needs and objectives.
* Maintains the company's system of accounts and keeps books and records on company transactions and assets.
* Ensures the existing financial accounting policies and procedures for the company are followed.
* Actively involved with preparation of reports that outline the company's financial position in the areas of income, expenses, and earnings based on past, present, and future operations.
* Furnishes internal reports, revises and updates reports to be more useful and efficient and furnishes external reports as necessary.
* Prepares and coordinates work papers/reports in conjunction with the outside CPA firm to issue audited financial statement at year end.
Required Skills/Abilities:
* Excellent written and verbal communication skills
* Excellent Organizational Time Management skills
* Proficient in Microsoft office Suite and similar software
* Proficient in Microsoft office Suite and similar software including.
* SQL queries
* Excel vlookups
* pivot tables
* Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals.
* Ability to speak effectively before groups of customers or employees of organization.
* Must be able to maintain effective working relationships with employees, Co-workers, and Managers in other departments.
* Must be willing to work off-hours as specific needs dictate and willing to assume more responsibility as required.'
* Skilled in math; accuracy and precision are essential.
* Team player and leader
* Strong working knowledge of financial accounting and operational system functionality.
* Strong working knowledge of all accounting functions.
* Professional attitude and work appearance.
* Ability to deal professionally with suppliers, employees, and clients.
* Must be able to perform duties under minimal supervision but respond to rapidly changing requirements; demonstrate drive and initiative.
Education/Experience:
Minimum Education and Experience: Determined by position.
* Undergraduate degree in accounting from an accredited College or University; CPA license and/or MBA is desirable. Seven to ten years of related experience with increasing levels of responsibility.
Travel Requirement:
* 5% (2 1/2 hours a week)
* Must be able to be insured by Raymond West.

* Occasionally required to lift and/or move up to 25 pounds.
Pay Range:
* The salary range for this position is $100,000 - $140,000. The specific pay offered to a candidate may be influenced by a variety of factors including but not limited to the candidate's relevant experience, education, and work location.
Qualified candidates must be able to pass a pre-employment physical and drug screen.
