Now Hiring: DIVISIONAL CONTROLLER
This role will lead the accounting and finance functions for all operations of this manufacturing company. Our client is a consumer products manufacturer and has been experiencing strong growth. Our client is seeking a controller that has experience in a manufacturing environment and is comfortable being in a hands-on leadership role.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Assists in the development and implementation of goals, policies, priorities, and procedures to financial management, budget, and accounting
- Responsible for the overall direction, coordination and evaluation of the Accounting & Finance staff
- Supervises and participates in preparation of various financial statements and reports. Direct the preparation of senior management financial reports covering current and future financial performance. Develops forecasts of working capital requirements, cash flow, EBT and other key financial measures
- Responsible for the timely and accurate completion of the monthly close process, including preparation/review of journal entries, account analyses and reconciliations, financial statements, analysis of significant fluctuations, unusual trends, and other executive reports, etc. Ensure that all data delivered is accurate, thoroughly analyzed and fully supportable before transmission to Corporate
- Prepares statements and forecasts of estimated future costs and revenue and cash flows. Explores opportunities to reduce net operating expenses and evaluate methods for cost accounting
- Analyze budget variances and their impact on product margins and overall profitability of company operations. Recommends remedial actions for major budget deviations
- Review daily cash balances report and explores cash management opportunities.
- Act as an interface between finance department and operational staff for all financial topics.
- Conducts internal assessments to ensure integrity of financial reporting systems and processes, and establishes controls for the safeguarding of company assets and the integrity of the company’s financial reporting.
- Responsible for coordination of audit, tax and other work performed by outside accountants including preparation and review of internal work-papers in support of such work. Responsible for review of outside accountant prepared reports and tax returns
REQUIREMENTS:
- BS in Accounting or Finance
- 5+ years of hands-on Accounting & FP&A experience
- CPA and public accounting experience preferred
- Manufacturing industry experience required
- 3+ years of management experience
- Strong systems skills
Compensation: $110,000 to $130,000
