This position has primary responsibility to provide environmental compliance assistance and oversight for sites in the Winfield division. This position also sets environmental compliance strategy, develops, and implements standardized Division programs in concert with the other Divisions within the Company. This person will use their Ag Chemical environmental compliance experience to lead technical and cultural change in environmental compliance assurance in the Winfield division. Approximately, 50% Tactical work and 50% Strategic work.
This role can be based in Arden Hills, MN (preferred) or Virtual.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
Provide direct assistance to facilities to achieve and maintain compliance with all environmental regulations (Federal, State and Local).
Conduct routine compliance inspections and complete reporting requirements for required environmental compliance programs (Ex. air emissions, SPCC, storm water, spill reporting, EPCRA, RCRA/hazardous waste/solid waste, FIFRA/pesticide reports/pesticide labeling, wastewater, RMPs, etc.). Identifying site environmental risks/hazards and assist site with implementing corrective actions.
Prepare, schedule, and present environmental program training for the Division and for individual sites.
Develop and implement Division Environmental Compliance Programs. Coordinate with other Divisional environmental programs to ensure standardization and consistency where possible.
Provide input to Corporate-wide EHS initiatives or projects.
Review capital projects and provide EHS input.
Facilitate Divisional Environmental Committee meetings. Participation and present in Corporate EHS / Operations calls.
Manage Division and site information in Corporate EHS website. Develop and track Division Reporting of individual facility compliance. Direct and assist sites in maintaining environmental data (permits, tasks, action plans, investigations) in the Corporate EHS website.
Assist sites with Environmental Incident Investigations - determine root causes and report out. Track completion of Action Plans and encourage responsible persons to make progress. Enter monthly EHS metrics into the EHS website and help prepare monthly EHS reports. Send routine communications to the Plant Manager and Division EHS staff regarding the status of open Action Plans, environmental task and other metrics as requested.
Assist with plant resource conservation programs in water, waste water, energy and recycling.
REQUIRED EXPERIENCE - EDUCATION (Required):
Bachelor’s degree (B.S.) in Engineering, Environmental Sciences or related field and 10+ years’ work experience in the following areas: CAA, EPCRA, FIFRA/pesticide labeling and reporting, TSCA, RCRA/Hazardous Waste/Solid Waste, SPCC, Stormwater and RMP
The following Environmental certifications are preferred; PE, FET, CHMM, CEM, REM
Minimum of 5 years of Environmental Compliance Management experience in the Agricultural Chemistry/Fertilizer industry preferred

Strong computer skills, including usage of Microsoft Office: Word, Excel, Outlook, and PowerPoint
Effective communication skills for working cross-functionally in a fast-paced work environment
Must be able to travel up to 50% of the time.
Salary range of $117,920 - $176,880 is negotiable based on experience.
