Assistant Vice President Of Finance Data Solutions

Position Summary

We are looking for an experienced Data and Analytics thought leader, and motivated individual with great communication skills to work cross-functionally with users, business stakeholders, development teams, and external vendors on some of the most critical requirements and features for Finance Data products. The AVP of Finance Data Solutions will be responsible to ideate and drive cross-functional requirements and execution for these initiatives with tight-knit collaboration with functional leads, finance, risk, data analysts, and data engineers.

The Risk Finance team is building out its risk and Finance Data products and systems. This person should have a deep financial domain experience in revenue and profit analytics. The goal is to build a financial data solution with role-based access for self-service reporting and dashboards, supporting predictive analytics and serving routine and specialized use cases under the Risk Finance umbrella.

Summary of Essential Job Functions

• Create a vision and formulate a strategy for Finance Data Solutions to enable business outcomes.
• Build a single source of truth for Risk internal finance needs, leveraging the latest data platform technologies to scale accessibility and drive adoption. Deliver automated reporting for various finance and risk teams. 
• Provide regular two-way communication with senior management and internal customers regarding status, risks, mitigations, and change control.
• Disrupt with positive and tangible business outcomes based on the latest industry trends, off-the-shelf solutions, subject matter expertise, and thought leadership. 
• Collaborate on the design, development, maintenance, and delivery/presentation of financial products and systems within the Risk department. 
• Enable Advanced Analytics capabilities to unlock revenue and cost savings opportunities. 
• Collaborate with engineers, finance stakeholders, and partners to solve pain points, seamlessly fit into systems, and guide the vision - all together with a focus on building and iterating rapidly. 
• Create technical proposals for implementation and be the driving force behind project tracking and product delivery. 
• Productize our existing processes and decide on adoption of innovative technologies, and use your team to discover new problems, ship solutions, and grow internal product adoption. 
• Continuously explore new product/feature development such as enriching our data platform through connections together with partners. 

Position Requirements

• A strong Finance, Data, Technology, and Business background
• Knowledge of industry-standard financial metrics, financial statements, KPIs, self-service reports, and dashboards provided by such tools in the market 
• Hands-on experience with SAS and/or SQL databases and programming 
• Experience using, designing, and building a Finance Analytics tool 
• Experience with Agile Development techniques 
• Comfort with translating ambiguous high-level analytics questions into concrete engineering asks 
• Bachelor's degree in finance, Computer Science, Engineering, or related technical discipline 
• Minimum 10+ years of total experience required. The experience needs to be both technical and product management-focused roles in finance. 
• 5+ years of technical hands-on experience in finance analytics as a data analyst or data engineer
