The DEI Talent Acquisition Intern is responsible for:

Championing SAS’ mission of a globally inclusive workforce by supporting our diversity talent outreach and attraction efforts. You will have an opportunity to support DEI recruitment projects, engagement activities and inclusion events for both our early careers and professional teams. The person in this role will also be a liaison to continue and strengthen our relationships and partnerships with key stakeholders, including universities, colleges, and professional diversity organizations.

 

As an internyou might

  • Coordinate and participate in DEI outreach activities including, but not limited to career fairs, virtual career sessions, and corporate branding events.
  • Provide administrative support to Talent Acquisition DEI Lead and Talent Acquisition team members within assigned areas to support the accomplishment of diversity program objectives.
  • Partner with internal stakeholders, including our DEI Team, Compliance, Legal and our Employee Inclusion Groups (EIGs) to support event planning and learning campaigns.

 

Required Qualifications 

  • You are student currently pursuing a Bachelor's or Master's Degree
  • Targeted Majors: Open to all majors, particularly those with strong strategic and communication backgrounds.
  • Work Hours: Available to work 15-20 hours per week during the academic year and full-time hours during the summer of 2024
  • Must be interested in Diversity, Equity and Inclusion as an organizational priority.
  • Creative problem solver with excellent verbal and written communications and interpersonal skills.
  • Well organized with the ability to prioritize workloads.
  • Accepting of the opportunity to work both independently as well in a team.
  • You have a strong knowledge of Microsoft Office (PowerPoint, Word, Excel, Outlook, Sharepoint)
  • You’re curious, passionate, authentic, and accountable. These are ourvaluesand influence everything we do.
  • You’re a college student enrolled in an accredited program, not graduating prior to May 2024.

 

Preferred Qualifications

  • You’ve got practical experience in program management inside or outside of school or work. Do you enjoy organizing community events, coordinated volunteer efforts, or planning fun activities for friends and family? If you find yourself taking the lead and enjoying it in any circumstance, we’d love to hear about it!
  • You have great organizational skills for managing commitments, schedules and deadlines.

 

Location 

  • This job does require the student to be on campus at Cary HQ to perform the job responsibilities? Yes 
  • The DEI team is hybrid in Cary.

 

Internship dates: May 14, 2024 – August 2, 2024. Will continue working in part time during the academic year.

Pay Transparency: The hourly rate for SAS internships is determined by the applicant’s year in school and the position they are hired into. Hourly rates range from $15 – $31 for associate’s/bachelor’s level positions and $29 - $49/hour for master’s/Ph. D positions. Internship roles are not eligible for bonus.
