Job Summary
The gym leadership team is comprised of the Gym Director, Assistant Gym Director, and additional department managers. As a team, they are responsible for ensuring that the gym functions smoothly, all staff are supported and upholding our Core Values, and that we are providing an excellent member experience. The District Yoga and Fitness Program Manager will report to the Gym Directors at each location within their district.
This individual is the point-person for the range of Fitness and Yoga offerings at their gyms. The candidate will be part of a passionate team of community-oriented climbing, yoga, and Fitness enthusiasts who are working together to create special moments and experiences for members and guests. Candidates are experts in their respective fields and work well within a team.
The District Yoga and Fitness Program Manager (YFPM) will be the architect behind creating and managing an inclusive, innovative, and robust program that reflects the unique diversity and needs of the community.
The ideal candidate will have a balance of great teaching and leadership skills, excellent administrative and organizational abilities, and the capability to see the big picture as well as the everyday details that are essential to being a successful Program Manager.
Job Responsibilities
- Attract and grow a team of exceptional instructors that will continually engage and challenge community members with a variety of class offerings designed to fit the needs of every experience level.
- Manage every aspect of the recruitment hiring, and supervision of instructors.
- Establish an intentional and sustainable program and constantly re-evaluate our offerings to ensure a flourishing program at all times.
- Partner with appropriate departments to ensure congruence across all our products.
- Develop meaningful partnerships with all other department heads and collaborate as needed for gym-wide events.
In addition, the YFPM may be responsible for but not limited to
- Maintain accurate and up to date records of all instructor licensures, certifications, and continuing education requirements.
- Teach a minimum of one regular class in each location and substitute classes as needed.
- Organize and produce specialized workshops in alignment with community interests.
- Create and manage a succinct protocol for instructors when looking for substitutions or schedule changes.
- Organize instructor meetings and trainings.
- Ensure the Yoga and Fitness spaces meet exceptional cleanliness and functionality standards.
- Facilitate “meet the instructor” and other engagement events to better connect the community and team.
Job Requirements
- Must maintain a current Nationally recognized Personal Training certificate, Group Exercise certification, and/or a 500+ hour Yoga Teacher Training certificate recognized by the Yoga Alliance.
- 3+ years combined instruction experience in any or all of the aforementioned modalities.
- Demonstrated successful management of yoga, personal training, or group exercise facility.
- Demonstrated successful experience managing a team of 10+ people.
- Innovative, organized, and self-motivated.
- Possess a true passion for health and wellness with a desire to develop and share the craft with your team.

ADDITIONAL INFORMATION
This is a full-time hourly position with a starting pay rate of $25.00 per hour, which may be flexible depending on experience and certifications. Instructor pay rate offered additionally.
