This role is based in Miami (with hybrid working), with extensive travel (circa 60-70%) both within the US and overseas, including across weekends.
About the role:
Reporting to the VP of Operations, the District Manager is responsible and accountable for achieving revenue and customer satisfaction goals through the effective leadership, development, and management of the onboard retail teams. The role is focused on sales and profit growth, overhead control, and staff development and training, to ensure the onboard teams achieve revenue and service targets. You will develop Cruise Line (CL) relationships ensuring operating practices are met and any contractual obligations are fulfilled on board, building relationships with the onboard CL management teams.
To be successful in this role, you must be results driven with a desire to deliver revenue targets, whilst continually developing and improving the people and teams around you. Aligned to this, you must have fantastic relationship building skills, working closely with, and managing the expectations of the Cruise Line.
All in all, this is a fantastic opportunity with a breadth of responsibility including team leadership and management, coupled with Cruise Line relationship development and internal stakeholder engagement and collaboration, to maximize efficiencies, opportunities, and profit levels.
About you:
- Cruise Retail Management experience (ideally)
- Proven multi-site or remote retail management experience, including working with premium / luxury brands
- Excellent relationship building skills, with both internal and external stakeholders
- Strong leadership skills and qualities, with a desire to develop and improve your team’s output
- Target driven and competitive, but within a team-oriented environment
- Ability to work at pace in a very busy organization and industry
- Adaptable and welcoming of change, offering suggestions for improvement where possible
- Must be a US citizen or hold the right to be employed in the US
