District Court Deputy Clerk

Under the direction of the 16th District Court supervisors the District Court Deputy Clerk is responsible for a variety of clerical tasks in the traffic/criminal division. The Deputy Clerk will be responsible for preparing weekly case dockets for the judges and magistrate. Other duties include processing new case filings, assisting the public at the counter, answering phone calls, and cash register validations. The deputy court clerk will be looking up and scheduling matters utilizing the Judicial Information System (JIS). Additional requirements may include LEIN access, assisting with mail processing and bond acceptance. The candidate needs to be able to multi-task, work well with the public, law enforcement, attorneys, coworkers, and management. The candidate must be able to organize and prioritize work assignments and have the ability to work harmoniously with others in a team-oriented work environment.
Skill tests may be required.High school graduation along with prior office or clerical experience. Must have good typing skills and be proficient in Windows operating systems.
