Description
SALARY: $21.93/hour
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
Currently a Certified Police Officer in the State of Michigan, or able to be certified, having successfully completed MLEOTC training.
GENERAL STATEMENT OF DUTIES: Performs professional police duties while providing security at the Genesee County courts
STATEMENT OF TASKS:

• Arrests individuals with outstanding warrants;
• Arrests individuals who are remanded during a court proceeding;
• Provide security at the entrance to the court, as well as within the courtroom while court is in session;
• Prepares and completes reports as directed.

REQUIRED KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES:

• Ability to make decisions under adverse conditions in accordance with departmental policies and procedures;
• Ability to communicate with the Court and the public;
• Ability to physically make arrests and to protect the public and self in the face of dangerous situations;
• Ability to complete necessary reports;
• Ability to report for work timely and regularly.
• Demonstrated ability to work independently, collaboratively, and respectfully in a complex, multicultural work environment that values diversity, equity and inclusion.
