Position: District Coordinator of Positive School Climate
Reports To: Chief Academic Officer
Salary Schedule / Grade: Refer to Administrative Salary Schedule
F.L.S.A Status: Exempt
SUMMARY:
The District Coordinator for Positive School Climate (PSC) is responsible for the overall implementation and management of the positive behavioral interventions and support framework. This includes supervising PSC coaches, providing training and technical assistance to coaches and school teams, and facilitating the implementation of the school-wide/district-wide PBIS (PSC) framework.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Supervise, train, support, and evaluate PSC coaches.
  • Develop coaches by facilitating training and monthly meetings.
  • Provide guidance to coaches and building teams implementing PSC framework by assisting with readiness activities/plans, identifying training needs, and coordinating training to build internal capacity.
  • Perform site visits and reinforce school progress.
  • Deliver technical assistance in the design and implementation key elements of the PSC framework.
  • Work with administrators and school teams to ensure continued implementation and sustainability of PSC.
  • Schedule and facilitate fidelity measures (i.e., TFI, BoQ, SAS, SET, and etc.).
  • Assist in the collection and analysis of school and District PSC data.
  • Assist coaches and school teams with interpretation of the data needed to create action plans.
  • Prepare monthly reports, records, and documentation as required by the supervisor.
  • Monitor climate data and serve as a resource on interventions for improving climate and culture.
  • Serve as an active participant on the District Leadership team.
  • Evaluate implementation status and present findings to the District Leadership Team.
  • Assist schools with increasing visibility by preparing and/or providing training to administrators, teachers, parents and non-instructional staff.
  • Seek opportunities to obtain outside funding for PSC-related activities through grants, community sponsors, etc.
  • Generate and distribute evaluation results including surveys and quantitative and qualitative outcomes of PSC activities.
  • Collaborate with other departments on the implementation of the PSC framework.
  • Performs other duties as assigned.

QUALIFICATIONS
  • Master's degree with valid Ohio Administrative License
  • Five (5) years successful teaching experience
  • At least two years of experience facilitating the implementation of the PBIS framework
  • Demonstrated leadership ability.
  • Demonstrated ability to write clearly and professionally.
  • Demonstrated ability to organize data.
  • Experience in planning, developing, and conducting professional development.

PHYSICAL ATTRIBUTES/DEMANDS
  • Frequently required to sit, stand, walk, hear, see, read, speak, reach, stretch with hands and arms, crouch, kneel, stoop, and climb stairs
  • Occasionally lift and/or move lightweight items up to 40 lbs.

WORK ENVIRONMENT
  • Work will include travel between various sites/ locations within the district
  • Potential exposure to contagious diseases, blood and other body fluids
