Distribution Center Lead

Well, you have found what you are looking for! This position would be responsible for leading the Distribution Center. This includes ensuring all safety, quality, production, inventory management, receiving, paint matching and mixing, shipping standards, and operational goals are attained with the proper efficiency and urgency.

DCs are mixing and matching centers for our Aviation and Industrial Coatings.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

Core duties and responsibilities include the following. Other duties may be assigned as needed.

• Manage all aspects of the Distribution Center.
• Works with DC Operations Manager for all Inventory Management processes and activities.
• Mix batches based on standards and formulas from Manufacturers.
• Matches Paint using color match system, spray outs, and quality control.
• Accountability for total receiving process at DC.
• Knows and upholds all AS9100d work instructions and Blend operating systems.
• Pick, Package and Ship all orders according to Blend Supply Standards.
• Ensure safety, productivity, and quality in all distribution operations.
• Ensure warehouse always stays neat and organized.
• Consistent communication and collaboration regarding orders, stocking, quality, and other vital information for decision making.
• Work with members of management and quality assurance for prioritization and objectives.
• Ensure that work is performed consistently with Blend Supply policies and procedures.
• Knows all aspects of the DC and can perform effectively and efficiently all tasks.
• Cycle count daily.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

QUALIFICATIONS:

To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or ability required.

Must be able to perceive color, including when matching coatings and samples.

EDUCATION AND/OR EXPERIENCE:

Associates Degree or Bachelor's Degree in related field Preferred.

Five plus years in supply chain, logistics, and/or inventory management with advancing responsibilities.

Paint matching, mixing and tinting experience with demonstrated ability to accurately match color specifications.

Inventory experience.

Good interpersonal communication, Customer Centric, Attention to Detail.

Ability to perform the physical labor necessary.

LANGUAGE SKILLS:

Bilingual in Spanish a plus. Ability to read, analyze, and interpret documents. Ability to respond effectively to the most sensitive inquiries or complaints.

COMPUTER SKILLS:

To perform this job successfully, an individual should have knowledge of the following software: Inventory and Order Processing (Prophet 21); and Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook).
