Dispensing Pharmacist - Contracting

Description:Join our amazing team. UNHS operates four community health centers in southeastern Utah. Our Dispensing Pharmacists work in state-of-the-art pharmacies with excellent support. We use the full ScriptPro filling suite, including 200-cell automated filling robotics, automated compliance packaging hardware, tele-pharmacy verification, and more. Pharmacists verify ~20 scripts/hour, with nearly 95% coming from our in-house providers.

Location: UNHS

Contract rate: PRN $100/hour. No benefits.

Requirements:

1. In-depth knowledge of medications, socio-behavioral, and clinical sciences
2. Work cooperatively with practitioners of other disciplines to care for patients
3. Use medications rationally, including the measurement and assurance of medication therapy outcomes
4. Promote wellness, health improvement, and disease prevention
5. Be a primary resource for unbiased information/advice regarding the safe, appropriate, and cost-effective use of medications
6. Solves problems in the medication use process for patients and the organization.
7. Identifies and engages in organizational and department quality improvement activities to improve patient care, medication use process, and pharmacy operations.
8. Assesses appropriate drug information and literature resources, and provides effective information to varied audiences including patients, other health care professions, and peers.

Reports to: UNHS Pharmacy Director'

Supervises: Pharmacy interns, Technicians, Technicians in training, Clerks

Requirements: Must have graduated from a credentialed pharmacy school with a Pharm.D. or BS Pharm

License/Certification: Utah Pharmacist license with the ability to dispense controlled substances required. Must obtain/maintain BLS certification

As a Tribal Organization the Utah Navajo Health System, Inc. (UNHS) treats patients with high risk and underlying chronic medical conditions. Below is a list of immunizations/vaccinations required to be employed or to continue employment with UNHS.

The immunizations/vaccinations include but not limited to following:

• MMR (Measles Rubeola, Mumps, Rubella): Documentation of two MMR vaccines (OR) Documentation of MMR titers.
• Complete Hepatitis B vaccine series (3 doses), documented proof of titers indicating immunity, or a declination that may be signed uponarrival.
• Proof of up-to-date PPD skin testing, if previously negative (OR) Proof of positive PPD skin test with the most recent chest x-ray and treatment history.
• Tetanus, diphtheria, and pertussis (Tdap).
• Varicella titers, history of varicella or varicella immunization series.
• Influenza vaccine for the current year.
• COVID-19 vaccine
• Any other vaccinations as requested.
