The Dispensary General Manager will be responsible for the day-to-day operations at the retail level comprising customer experience, staff development, financial management, inventory management, including general operations and compliance. The General Manager will enhance the customer experience and drive sales while promoting a positive work environment geared towards growth and development. This role will support all aspects of the management process to ensure consistent achievement of short- and long-term goals and the mission statement based upon our core values.
A successful candidate will be 21 years of age or older, able to work in a very fast-paced environment as we continue to grow and expand. Must be motivated, trustworthy, and able to operate both independently and within a team environment.
Responsibilities:
- Lead and manage all aspects of dispensary operations, including inventory management, staffing, compliance, and security protocols.
- Ensure strict compliance with all cannabis laws and regulations, including record-keeping and reporting requirements; maintain compliance with all local and State, cannabis regulations.
- Monitor and analyze key performance indicators (KPIs) to drive continuous improvement in sales, profitability, and customer satisfaction.
- Manage store budget ensuring efficient allocation of resources and cost controls; make informed decisions that positively impact profitability.
- Maintain detailed records of daily dispensary operations and financial activities.
- Implement inventory control measures to minimize losses and maintain accurate product levels; manage inventory procurement, tracking, and replenishment processes.
- Negotiate with wholesalers and or vendors to procure appropriate supplies of quality products.
- Maintain in-depth knowledge of products and brands in the store, as well as industry-wide product knowledge.
- Recruit, hire, train, and supervise dispensary staff, ensuring they are knowledgeable about cannabis products and customer service.
- Foster a positive and inclusive work environment, promoting teamwork and employee development.
- Conduct performance evaluations and provide coaching and feedback to employees as needed.
- Identify opportunities to enhance the customer experience and implement improvements.
- Develop and implement marketing and promotional strategies.
- Additional duties and or responsibilities as assigned by leadership.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent required.
- College education in Business Management, Business Administration or related field strongly preferred; five to seven years in a high-volume retail sales environment or equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Strong understanding of retail operations, sales strategies and customer service principles.
- Must be and remain complaint with any and all legal and or company required regulations for working within the industry.
- Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, holidays and attend various events as needed.
- Must be 21 years of age or older.
