Dispatch Coordinator

Herzog Railroad Services Inc. is currently seeking a Dispatch Coordinatorin St. Joseph, MO to join our team.

Duties and Responsibilities:

• Schedule and dispatch operators to meet the needs of Herzog’s customers.
• Address problems and request by transmitting information and providing solutions.
• Collaborate with specialized rail equipment managers and supervisors.
• Coordinate and interface with Herzog’s customers.
• Prepare any necessary reports.
• Occasional travel required.
• Subject to shift differential.
• Regular and consistent engagement, participation and promotion of Herzog’s Culture and its essential behaviors are a requirement for this position.
• Regular and predictable attendance and punctuality are a requirement for this position.
• Other duties as assigned

Qualifications:

• High School Diploma
• Must be at least 21 years of age
• Ability to make quick decisions
• Must have excellent computer skills – must be proficient with Microsoft Office products
• Excellent problem-solving skills
• Excellent customer service
• Excellent organization, communication, and follow up skills.
• Ability to multi-task in a high-volume environment
• Ability to take on call hours
• Willing to travel

Pre-Employment Requirements:

• Pass and maintain e-RAILSAFE pre-employment background check and safety certification.
• Subject to motor vehicle report review.
• Maintain valid driver’s license and endorsements as required per position.
• Pass pre-employment physical, medical evaluation, and drug screen due to the safety sensitive nature of this position.
• Successfully complete and maintain any required safety certification and testing on an annual basis.
