Job description
JOB SUMMARY
The Dishwasher works under the general guidance and supervision of the Executive Chef. The dishwasher is expected to maintain clean, orderly and attractive public areas, kitchen, dish pit, storages, BOH communal areas and employee areas, in order to consistently exceed guest expectations and provide the highest levels of product and services. Additional duties and responsibilities may be assigned as needed.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Maintains a clean kitchen, properly washes and sorts soiled dishes, and preps foods as needed. Keeps dish area free of clutter and organized.
- Sets up dish stations, including dish machines and sinks.
- Maintains clean / dry floors throughout the shift.
- Properly washes, stacks, and stores china, glassware, silverware, cookware, and storage containers.
- Changes water of machines and sinks every two hours, or more often as required by business levels, and properly uses chemical dilutions set by EcoLab.
- Assists in the timely storing of food deliveries.
- Maintains trash cans throughout shift and removes full trashcans and boxes at the end of each shift.
- Maintains the dry storage area and the organization of storage shelves.
- Follows the posted daily dish cleaning duties.
- Assists in food prep and any other duties set forth or requested by the chef as needed.
REQUIREMENTS:
- Legally eligible to work in the United States.
- Legally able to work in establishments which serve alcohol
- Strong problem solving and communication skills.
- Exceptional time management skills.
- Ability to stand or walk for 8-hour shifts and lift at least 50 pounds.
- Willingness to comply with all food safety procedure
- Flexible schedule to include evenings, weekends, and holidays
PERSONAL APPEARANCE:
- Must abide by the brand standards.
- Slip resistant black shoes is a must.
- All employees must maintain good personal hygiene. Fingernails must be cut and clean. Personal appearance must be suitable for work at all times. Must be cleanshaven at all times.
- Maintain personal health and sanitation standards (wash hands when using restroom, etc.)
