Position Overview: As we approach our busiest season, we are seeking a dedicated and hardworking individual to join our kitchen team as a Dishwasher/Steward. This role is vital in maintaining the club's high standards of service and cleanliness.
Key Responsibilities:
Ensure all dishes, glassware, silverware, pots, and pans are cleaned, sanitized, and properly stored.
Maintain the dishwashing machine and other kitchen cleaning equipment, ensuring their optimal performance and longevity.
Assist in the maintenance of kitchen cleanliness including floors, surfaces, and equipment.
Handle kitchen waste and recyclables according to club procedures.
Work closely with kitchen staff to ensure timely availability of required dishes and utensils.
Adhere to health and safety standards, ensuring all practices are aligned with local health codes.
Assist with other duties as assigned, providing support to other kitchen staff when needed.
Qualifications:
Previous experience in a similar role is preferred, but not mandatory.
Ability to work efficiently under pressure, especially during peak times.
Strong work ethic and attention to detail.
Must be able to stand for extended periods and lift up to 50 pounds.
Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and holidays.
Knowledge of safe and proper chemical handling related to cleaning solutions.
