Dishwasher/ Food Service Aide

What Are We Looking for?

We are looking for a Dishwasher and Food Service Aid. Must be experienced food preparation. Reports to the Director of Food Service.

Valid FL Driver License

Duties and Responsibilities

• Sets up Cafeteria food stations and restocks beverage areas
• Organizes, sanitizes and cleans the kitchen, storage areas and coolers including floors, pots and pans
• Maintains clean and sanitary conditions in immediate work area. Makes sure that all dishes, pots and pans, and cooking equipment are left clean at the end of shift.
• Understands how to use a variety of Food Service equipment such as knives, pots and pans, ovens, grills, food processors and slicers.
• Assists in preparing ingredients for daily menu offerings. This includes preparing vegetables by washing, chopping, grating and slicing them for inclusion in side dishes, salads, soups and appetizers
• Assists in preparing meat for cooking, which may involve cutting or slicing them into appropriate portions. Labels all prepared food items with date of preparation, before storing them in appropriate area.
• Adheres to food safety standards at all times, making sure that all food is free or contaminants and pathogens.
• Maintains clean and sanitary conditions in immediate work area. Makes sure that all dishes, pots and pans, and cooking equipment are left clean at the end of shift.

Required qualifications:

• High School diploma or GED
• Strong customer service skills
