freight house aims to be a unique kentucky dining experience, serving traditional southern flavors with a modern twist. through locally sourced meats and garden fare, our mission is to bring you fresh ingredients from our local partners and help to define the flavor of the “new south.”
Responsibilities:
- Wash dishes, glassware, flatware, pots, or pans using dishwashers or by hand
- Place clean dishes, utensils, or cooking equipment in storage areas
- Maintain kitchen work areas, equipment, or utensils in clean and orderly condition
- Sweep or scrub floors
- Stock supplies such as food or utensils in serving stations, cupboards, refrigerators, or salad bars
- Transfer supplies or equipment between storage and work areas by hand or using hand trucks
- Remove trash and clean kitchen garbage containers
Experience:
- Previous experience working in a hotel, hospitality industry, restaurant, catering, or food service environment is preferred
- Familiarity with food handling and safety regulations is a plus
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and handle multiple tasks simultaneously
As a Dishwasher, you will play a crucial role in maintaining cleanliness and sanitation standards in the kitchen. Your attention to detail and ability to work efficiently will contribute to the smooth operation of our establishment. Please note that this is a physically demanding position that requires standing for long periods of time and lifting heavy objects. The ability to follow instructions and work well under pressure is essential.
