We are seeking a well-established and dynamic industry leader as a Director of Software Development to champion Software Development and deliver results for our organization.

The Director, Software Development is responsible for providing overall leadership and direction for the Software Development team, which is evolving legacy applications into modern, supportable applications. This thought leader must also be proficient in Agile practices as they will be collaborating to achieve an outstanding customer experience, resulting in positive, on-time and within budget organizational outcomes.

• Foster a passion for people leadership rooted in helping your team do their best work, hiring, and performance mentoring.
• Collaborate with Product Owners and leaders from Agile Delivery, Enterprise Architecture, Infrastructure and EPMO.
• Manage and develop a team of managers responsible for Software Development.
• Develop and maintain an accountable department that delivers high-quality code.
• Stay current with modern Software Development technology to establish and evolve the Software Development strategy.
• Establish KPI’s and metrics for managing and reporting performance.

What our team expects from you?

• Bachelor’s degree in Business or Information Systems, or other relevant technical field of study, preferred.
• 10+ years of IT Management experience, including direct leadership of Software Development teams.
• Experience with modern technologies, architectures and agile development methods
• Experience with cloud first development and microservice architectures and or strategies
• Experience with .NET, SQL, Angular, Oracle, React, etc.
• Experience with tools such as Jira, Azure DevOps, etc.
• Experience managing and applying agile methodologies.
• Experience with projects requiring the development of advanced automation testing frameworks and various performance testing methodologies.
• Participate in, adhere to, and support compliance program objectives
• The ability to consistently interact cooperatively and respectfully with other employees
