Director Sales

A’BriTin (Divisions: Events & Catering, FoodServices, Solutions by A’BriTin) is the premier catering provider for businesses and residents looking to celebrate their most important occasions. We are seeking a qualified Director Sales to help advance our growth and revenue goals through their own skill and the leadership of a team of driven Food & Beverage Sales Coordinators and Venue Manager. The ideal Director Sales has in-depth knowledge of and experience with the sales process, excelling at lead generation, relationship building, and closing deals. We’re seeking a quick learner with strong negotiating skills, and someone with a track record of success who can inspire the same in others. The role demands a leader with a sharp mind and the ability to coach, advise, motivate, or replace sales representatives to create and maintain a high-performance sales force.

  • Represent our company, with a comprehensive understanding of our offerings.
  • Research consumer needs and identify how our solutions meet them.
  • Hire, train, motivate, and advise a team of sales representatives.
  • Achieve company objectives through effective planning, setting sales goals, analyzing performance data, and projecting future performance.
  • Continuously develop personal leadership, hiring, and training skills while ensuring the team is using effective sales tactics to meet revenue objectives.
  • Generate leads, and build and nurture client relationships (including VIP clients).
  • Create and execute a strategic sales plan that expands client base and extends a state/greater Minnesota reach.
  • Meet with potential clients (including VIP clients) and grow long-lasting relationships by understanding their needs .
  • Track, analyze, and communicate key quantitative metrics and business trends as they relate to partner relationships.
  • Recruit sales professionals, set objectives, train and coach, and monitor performance ensuring assigned tasks and responsibilities are fulfilled.
  • Identify knowledge gaps within the team and develop a plan to fulfill them.
  • Oversee the sales team to ensure company quotas and standards are met by holding daily check-ins with team to set objectives for the day and monitor progress regularly.
  • Manage month-end and year-end close processes.
  • Prepare sales budgets and projections and approving expenditures.
  • Track and analyze sales statistics based on key quantitive metrics.
  • Handles and resolves client complaints regarding a product or service.
  • Help set discount rates and help determine price schedules.
  • Advises vendors, distributors, and dealers on policies and standard operations procedures (SOPs).
  • Work closely with Director Revenue & Marketing, Executive Senior Manager Venue Relations, and Officers to increase demand and lead generation.
  • Collaborate with additional departments and team to include: Marketing, Venue Relations, Administrative Services, Operations, People Operations, and others.
  • Performs other duties as assigned by management.

Qualifications (Required):

  • High School Diploma, GED, or Equivalent (required).
  • Bachelor’s degree in marketing or business administration or related field (preferred).
  • 8+ years in sales management within a corporate setting.
  • Proven track record of success the sales cycle from plan to close.
  • Excellent communication, interpersonal, and organizational skills.
  • Superb leadership ability.
  • Deep understanding of CRM systems and best practices
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office
  • Ability to travel at least 25% of the time (as needed).

Qualifications (Preferred):

  • Motivational speaking experience.
  • Proven success rate at levels above quotas.
  • Caterease and StaffMate program experience.

  • Able to lift and push 50+ pounds

Salary: DOQ

Job Status: Exempt – Full Time

Schedule: Monday – Friday 9:00 AM – 5:00 PM (occasional work/work hours to be performed outside of standard business hours - must be able to work Saturdays during the season, infrequent [May 1 – October 31] as required).

Travel: Up to 25%
