a day in the life; what you'll do
As the Director, Operations & Systems in the Responsible Supply Chain (RSC Team) you will be responsible for the direction, planning, execution and governance of the Responsible Supply Chain strategic operations. You will direct strategies to establish global RSC (social and environmental) operations and risk resiliency management system that ensure our vendor and factory performance meets or exceed RSC expectations, enables risk management and contributes to advancing a compliant, agile and resilient Supply Chain. You are a critical change agent who directs a dynamic team of strategists, analysts and program managers that enables process and technological transformation of the Responsible Supply Chain operations needed to respond to increasing regulatory and stakeholder pressure.

You will work cross-functionally leads with lululemon Technology Team to design, build and integrate the RSC data and technology tools and processes with lululemon technology ecosystems; with Sourcing Team to align RSC processes to lululemon sourcing policies and practices; and with Enterprise and Supply Chain Risk Management Teams to integrate RSC expectations and risk logic to the enterprise risk management protocols and processes.

responsibilities
  • Directs the development and execution of the next phase RSC (social and environmental) risk and vendor performance management systems and associated data infrastructure and visualization
  • Leads the strategy to build next phase RSC data and technology solution to advance RSC analytics, risk analysis and performance management capability and to enable effective RSC program management, monitoring, remediation and reporting
  • Leads strategy for repeatable data analysis to derive actionable insights that help our internal teams make decisions about our vendors, their facilities, and subcontractors to improve the environmental performance of their operations and the wellbeing of their employees
  • Directs the coordination of integrated insights and analytics across vendor-base; ensures that vendor performance and identified risks are analyzed and communicated to the sourcing teams through regular reporting, ensures lululemon RSC processes and data systems meet regulatory requirements
  • Directs the design of document management systems and serves as the central source of truth and best practice for RSC documents and records management, manages regular update process for RSC documentation (incl. Vendor Code of Ethics, Environmental Manual etc.)
  • Directs strategies to develop supplier-facing RSC training activities; ensures the training is continuously updated and improved to minimize Supply Chain and enterprise risk

qualifications
  • Degree in Business or other related field required, MBA or other Master’s degree preferred
  • 15+ years of experience working in Supply Chain, sourcing, risk management, experience in apparel/textile and footwear an asset
  • Demonstrated expertise in building, directing, and managing large projects, appreciation of and experience in managing roll out of technology projects and programs is a plus
  • Proven ability to address tactical business problems with strategic solutions
  • Proven team leadership experience
  • Proven ability to generate executive and/or board-level written materials and deliver related presentation
  • Ability to enable change across the organization, and to enroll and influence others
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities, problem solve under pressure and tight timelines, escalate issues as needed, and support leadership with strategic decision-making
  • Excellent communications skills: verbal, written, negotiation and presentational. Must be able to communicate technical and project management concepts in business-oriented terms to different audiences including senior level management
  • Excellent interpersonal skills including analytical, problem solving, organizational and issue resolution
  • Demonstrated ability to negotiate and manage business partners and external vendors who have major delivery responsibilities for projects and operations

compensation and benefits package 
lululemon’s compensation offerings are grounded in a pay-for-performance philosophy that recognizes exceptional individual and team performance. The typical hiring range for this position is from $155,400 - $203,900 USD annually; the base pay offered is based on market location and may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, experience, and internal equity. As part of our total rewards offering, permanent employees in this position may be eligible for our competitive annual bonus program and equity offerings, subject to program eligibility requirements.

workplace arrangement

This role is classified as Hybrid under our SSC Workplace Policy:  

  • In-person collaboration is important, and much of the role can be performed remotely. Work is performed onsite at least 3 days per week.
