Beloit Health System is seeking a progressive and experienced Director of Nursing for our Packard Family Care Center. This position will have oversight of the hospital’s Family Birthing Unit which includes four delivery rooms, two triage rooms, 13 postpartum rooms, 2 pediatric rooms, and a level 2 nursery. The Packard Family Care Center features spacious, private rooms, an Education/meeting room and a SIMs lab with the NOELLE Maternal Birthing Simulator. The Director of Nursing will also have oversight to the new Freestanding Birth Center located on our NorthPointe Campus. The Birth center is a unique service line that focuses on very low-risk pregnancies and is staffed by Certified Nurse Midwives and RN/Birth Assistants.
The Director will also oversee our Enterostomal Therapy Department which consists of 3 experienced wound care nurses. The Enterostomal Therapy Department is both an Inpatient and Outpatient department with a focus on wound care, ostomy care, and urology services. Reporting to the Chief Nursing Officer, the candidate will provide overall leadership, daily management, and direction for the service line including but not limited to providing strategic direction and leadership for staffing systems and strategy within the department: serves as a resource to manage daily operations of clinical staffing with the expectation of long-term financial savings through enhanced utilization, scheduling, and deployment of staff: Provides coordination of staff services across the organization with the intent of creating improved responsiveness to patient needs; and provide overall strategic project management, facilitation, and ongoing maintenance of a centralized staff scheduling/deployment system utilizing a software platform to manage staff.
The Director of Nursing, Women’s Services will collaborate with the leadership of Beloit Health System’s multidisciplinary teams to facilitate an excellent patient experience and to systematically improve assessment, quality, and patient experience. The individual selected for this critical role regularly interacts with the senior leadership of Beloit Health System, as well as colleagues throughout the Health System and community.
This position requires a Bachelor's Degree in Nursing, with a MSN preferred, and a current IL and WI RN License. Progressive leadership experience is preferred.
