Position Summary:

Reports to the Regional Vice President, as assigned. Responsible for assisting the Regional Vice President in the overall operation of contracts/business of the region to ensure contract programmatic and administrative compliance, overall contract performance, quality of service delivery, quality of performance, problem identification and solutions, and positive customer relations.

Essential Functions:

1. At the discretion and in the absence of the Regional Vice President, serve in such capacity for the company.

2. At the discretion of the Regional Vice President, direct and supervise other regional office staff.

3. At the direction of the Regional Vice President, temporarily fill center staff positions, including but not limited to director positions (center, site, finance, deputy, programs, etc.).

4. Direct, conduct, or assist other staff in annual or follow-up contract assessments and audits as required by Job Corps contracts, regulations, and MTC policy.

5. Identify problems and propose solutions to management, as appropriate; ensure implementation and resolution occur.

6. Provide or coordinate technical assistance to contracts and conduct necessary followup to ensure implementation of action identified.

7. Work with others to ensure high contract performance measurement standard outcomes as identified by Job Corps and the company.

8. Review and analyze Job Corps and MTC performance reports; offer recommendations and observations from this analysis to the Regional Vice President and contract management.

9. As directed by the Regional Vice President, assist in the review, analysis, or preparation of Job Corps budgets, monthly financial reports, and other administrative reports.

10. Assist Job Corps contracts or other regional business in the implementation and operation of new programs and systems. Develop and maintain written policies and procedures when necessary.

11. Assist in the development of regional goals, planning, budgets, etc.

12. Assist the Regional Vice President in the development and continuance of positive customer relationships; participate in customer and company meetings, workgroups, and committees, as assigned.

13. Direct or participate in transition or phase-out activities for newly acquired or terminating contracts.

14. Assist in the preparation of proposals in response to RFPs or other requests by customers or MTC.

15. Responsible for accountability of companyowned or leased property and adhering to safety policy and practices of the company.

16. Maintain accountability of property; adhere to safety practices.

It is expected that the incumbent shall perform other duties as assigned within his/her capabilities as determined by management.

Education and Experience Requirements:

Bachelor's degree in behavior sciences, education, human resources, business, or other field. Degree requirements may be waived, but only with the approval of the Sr. Vice President, Education & Training. Five years experience in Job Corps or related industry, three of which must be supervisory. Knowledge of personal computer software applications. Must be willing and able to travel. Must have excellent verbal and written communication skills. Unless waived by management, a valid driver's license in the state of employment with an acceptable driving record.
