Summary of Role
Carparts.com is looking for a dynamic and experienced Director of Online Marketplaces to lead our e-commerce team at our Torrance, CA location. The Director of Online Marketplaces will be responsible for developing and executing strategies to drive sales and growth across various Online Marketplaces, including but not limited to Amazon, eBay, Walmart Marketplace, and others. The ideal candidate will have a minimum of 5 years of experience managing marketplaces at scale and a proven track record of success in driving sales and optimizing performance, with previous experience at eBay and Amazon preferred.
Responsibilities
- Lead and manage a team of marketplace specialists to develop and execute strategic plans to drive sales and growth on Online Marketplaces. You’ll need to be comfortable rolling up your sleeves and executing alongside your team.
- Develop and implement strategies to optimize product listings, pricing, promotions, and inventory management on marketplaces.
- Analyze marketplace performance data and metrics to identify trends, opportunities, and areas for improvement.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including marketing, sales, supply chain, and finance, to develop and execute marketplace strategies.
- Manage relationships with third-party marketplace partners, including negotiating terms, resolving disputes, and optimizing partnerships.
- Stay informed about industry trends, competitive landscape, and best practices for Online Marketplaces.
- Monitor and report on key performance indicators (KPIs) to track progress and measure success.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Business, Marketing, or related field.
- Minimum of 5 years of experience managing marketplaces at scale, preferably in the e-commerce or automotive industry.
- Proven track record of success in driving sales and growth on Online Marketplaces, particularly Amazon, eBay, and Walmart Marketplace.
- Previous experience at eBay and Amazon preferred.
- Strong leadership skills and experience managing teams in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
- Excellent analytical skills and proficiency in analyzing marketplace performance data.
- Excellent communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic environment and manage multiple projects simultaneously.

A reasonable estimate of the salary range for this position based on job experience, education level, global geographic region, etc: $175,000-$200,000
