Chubbies is seeking an experienced and strategic-minded professional to join our dynamic team as the Director of Wholesale Planning. In this key leadership role, you will be responsible for overseeing the development, execution, and communication of financial plans and strategies to maximize sales and profits for each season/year, along with supporting overall objectives of our Wholesale business. The goal of the Planning function is to drive the business (Revenue, EBITDA) through strategic seasonal merchandise planning, controlled inventory management and insightful commercial analysis. The ideal candidate will possess a deep understanding of Wholesale operations, demand forecasting, and inventory management, along with a proven track record of driving results in a fast-paced environment.


Duties and Responsibilities:


  • Create top-line monthly, quarterly and annual financial plans & strategies relating to all KPI’s that align with company operating plans.
  • Provide strategic guidance, key insights and recommendation to senior leadership on channel financials.
  • Assess business risk and opportunity and drive contingency planning alignment in partnership with key account buying & planning teams
  • Lead monthly performance and planning reviews with Key Account partners against KPI targets including revenue, margin, and inventory levels.
  • Track account-level sell through by category and season and advise/execute actions needed including replenishment and price promotional and RTV activities
  • Provide a weekly summary of key performance indicators relating to sales, stock, and profit versus forecast, budget, and last year
  • Lead Wholesale Planning Team to performance through development, teamwork, and recognition of success.
  • Partner with the Sales team by creating account-specific performance recaps and financial overviews to better assess key areas of opportunity and risk
  • Own and present Planning overviews in pre-season sales meetings in partnership with Chubbies Sales team


Qualifications:

    • Proven experience (10+ years) in Wholesale Planning or a related role, with a successful track record of strategic planning, execution and management of direct-reports.
    • Bachelor's degree in Business, Supply Chain Management, or a related field. Master's degree is a plus
    • Experience managing account level forecast and OTB processes at an omni-channel retailer
    • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with proficiency in demand forecasting tools and ERP systems.
    • Excellent leadership and interpersonal skills with the ability to collaborate effectively across departments.
    • Demonstrated ability to thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic environment and manage multiple priorities.
    • Knowledge of industry trends, market dynamics, and best practices in Wholesale Planning.
    • Ability to positively influence and lead others by fostering a motivating work outlook with emphasis on team collaboration
    • Advanced Excel skills
