Xavier University's Treasury Office is seeking qualified applicants for the Directory of Treasury position. The Office supports the University in areas of investments and external financing for the University and its departments. The Office manages daily operations of cash, investments, and debt obligations of the University, and performs financial reporting for these areas.

The Director is responsible for all of the University's cash, investment, and debt portfolios, including cash management, cash flow forecasting, investment performance reporting, and investment administration, while ensuring compliance to all Board policies as well as adherence to applicable state and federal statutes. 

Key Responsibilities:

• Foster strong working relationship with various internal and external partners, primarily the University's investment firm and the VP of Financial Administration/CFO, to ensure timely cash investments, and conduct overall monitoring, as well as performance reconciliation of investment portfolio.
• Regular reporting and analysis duties, including but not limited to communicating risk exposure, cash balances etc. and advising on concerns and opportunities.
• Heavily involved in managing debt portfolio including maintaining compliance in reporting, partnering with consultants to propose debt alternatives, and serving as the point of contact for credit rating agency needs
• Assist in annual processes including annual audits, development of investment return annual budget, preparation of special studies, analysis, reports as needed.
• Track, monitor and prepare accounting entries for endowment fund activity.
• Work with University Relations to understand and utilize Salesforce for financial reporting.

Qualifications:

• At least 5 years of increasingly responsible professional Treasury experience and management in Higher Education or similar institutions required.
• Bachelor's degree in Finance or Accounting required. Master's degree in Finance, Accounting, Business or Economics preferred.
• Exceptional interpersonal, written and verbal communication skills, and strong presentation skills.
• Demonstrated ability to build strong, collegial relationships across all levels of the organization and with external partners/consultants.
• Possess excellent problem-solving, analytical and business skills, and strong project management skills to meet deadlines and work effectively with others.
• Demonstrated ability to present complex financial issues to Board of Trustees, Senior Administration, Deans and Directors.
