• Oversight of program operations and social service staff, and collaboration with facility management.
• Direct supervision of Tenant Service Coordinators and Administrative Assistant.
• Available to be on-call and respond as needed either on the phone or in person after hours, weekends and holidays.
• Assist with the development, interpretation, and implementation of the policies and procedures for all staff.
• Assist with the interviewing, hiring, supervision, scheduling, evaluation, and separation of human and support service staff.
• Oversight of charts and recording systems providing for proper service control and standards, including HRA or designated DHS, DOHMH, OTDA, HUD and other regulatory agencies.
• Promote client relations by assisting with receiving complaints and compliments, investigating, and resolving all complaints.
• Participate in continuous quality improvement (CQI) activities and agency wide CQI committee and ensures CQI plan is implemented for the program.
• Assist with the process of accurate reporting to regulatory agencies and internal sources in accordance with regulations and indicated timeframes.
• Maintain statistical data to allow for efficient reporting including monthly reports.
• Assist the Assistant Director of Housing in preparing and monitoring budgetary controls and measures.
• Work with Property Management to ensure that all safety and security procedures are current and implemented.
• Maintain consistent communication with government partners, property managers and housing partners to cover policy initiatives, agency procedures and to provide direction that supports efficient and successful placement process.
• Ensure compliance with all regulatory agencies.
• Ensure site are having clinical case reviews and incident reviews
• Review of facility incidents and ensure appropriate follow-up.
• Support with securing adequate staff coverage for the sites
• Assist in promoting good community relations through involvement in community affairs and establishment of community outreach programs.
• Participate in various committees and meetings as requested.
• Attend seminars to further professional development.
• Co-Chair case conferences, interdisciplinary team meetings, staff meetings and training to ensure compliance with VIP, HRA, DHS, OTDA, HUD, etc. polices and procedures.
• Maintain a high level of industry knowledge and keep the supervisor and agency aware of changes required/recommended in agency operations.
• Responsible for all aspects of housing operations in the absence of the Assistant Director of Housing.
• Perform all other duties as assigned by the Assistant Director or designee.
Requirements
• Must have bachelor's degree with 5 years' experience providing clinical services within a social service supervised setting working with vulnerable populations.
• Master's degree preferable.
• Knowledge of support services (ex: case management) to vulnerable populations, including but not limited to the homeless, mentally ill, substance users, persons living with HIV, and low-income individuals and families.
• Must possess the ability to promote a team environment.
• CPR/First Aide or receive within 2 months of hire.
• Ability to interact effectively with all populations served.
• Ability to speak, read and write the English language.
Bilingual (English/Spanish) a plus
• Excellent interpersonal, oral, and written communication skills.
Salary Description
$80,000 annually
