Position: Resident Services Coordinator
Job Location: Woodbury, NY
Pay: $20.00 - $30.00
Overview:
As a developer of occupied affordable housing one of the most important aspects of the process is the positive relationship with our residents. This crucial relationship starts with the first pre-development resident meeting, continues through the relocation process, and extends well past the completion of the project. It will be the responsibility of the Resident Services Coordinatorto assist the development staff throughout the entire process.
During the pre-development phase the Resident Services Coordinator will be responsible for:
- Assisting with the scheduling of meetings with the residents
- Preparation of materials for distribution to residents
- Coordination of meeting logistical elements such as tables, chairs, translators, a/v equipment and refreshments
- Attendance at meetings to assist with set-up and to forge relationships with residents
During the construction process the Resident Services Coordinator will be responsible for:
- Assisting development staff with the execution of the relocation plan
- Work with hired Relocation Service Providers and Moving Companies to successfully checkboard residents during construction
- Order, log and track packing materials, to stay within budget
- Coordinate all aspects of hospitality suites including purchase of furnishings when applicable
- In some cases, an outside Relocation Service Provider may not be hired, and it will be the responsibility of the Resident Services Coordinator to execute the relocation plan
- When applicable, work with Third Party Social Service Provider and Resident Liaison to ensure that the proposed scope of work is being implemented as planned
Post Construction the Resident Services Coordinator will be responsible for:
- Assist in the planning of celebratory and resident focused events
- Review progress reports from social service providers to ensure that residents are being served and create summaries of activities
- Conduct resident interviews post construction to memorialize their views on the project
The selected candidate will be an important member of the development staff and is expected to be a team player and may be asked to assist in other areas of the project.
Candidate will work with Public Relations Provider and should possess strong communication, interpersonal and organizational skills, as well as, must be able to use PowerPoint and Word.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $20.00 - $30.00 per hour
