Description:
The Director of Technology Infrastructure & Operations oversees the architecture and operations of all Technology Infrastructures, including data centers, public cloud services, network and server services, telephony, service monitoring, user support/help desk, workstations, servers, storage, and related software. Reporting to the Head of Technology and leading a team, this role ensures the availability, integrity, and security of all IT systems and infrastructure across MFS US sites, contributing to MUFG Investor Services—one of the world's largest financial groups.
Responsibilities:
- Collaborate with the Head of Technology and Business Technology Architects to establish a comprehensive technology strategy and execution for the enterprise. Work with business leaders and department heads to ensure these strategies align with their expectations.
- Partner with Business Technology Operations teams to guarantee system availability surpasses minimum requirements.
- Lead Shared Services Infrastructure and Operations teams, ensuring continuous system availability meets or exceeds minimum requirements. These teams consist of a mixture of internal employees and outsourced service providers.
- Work with other MUFG partner entities and departments to contribute to the shared technology directions and align with solutions to comply with regulatory requirements and best practices.
- Create infrastructure and operational standards and standard operating procedures. Determine and enforce metrics to measure successful adherence.
- Define monitors, alerts, and escalation procedures & technologies to meet system availability requirements, maintaining consistency across the environment in collaboration with Business Technology teams.
- Provide leadership in planning, project management, and implementation of technologies in support of company goals, identifying opportunities for automation, cost savings, and service quality improvement.
- Create infrastructure and operations services vision, fostering innovation and leveraging IT trends that create business value aligned with the company’s requirements and expectations.
- Work closely with and manage strategic vendor partner relationships to build strategic relationships for organizational value and to ensure Governance adherence.
- Offer oversight and problem-solving leadership for complex infrastructure implementation, system upgrades, and operational troubleshooting.
- Conduct product and vendor evaluations for infrastructure, ensuring the adoption of best-in-class technologies and partners.
