ANINE BING is looking for aDirector of Technical Designand Quality Controlto join its Production team based in Los Angeles.
The Director of Technical Design oversees all aspects of the Technical Design department from concept to production for all apparel and non-apparel categories while keeping strategic fit initiatives and leading and coaching the Technical Design team to ensure ongoing growth and development.

Responsibilities Include
- Oversee the implementation, execution and management of the Technical Design department from development through final top of production samples.
- Lead, inspire, and mentor the team to develop key strategies, skills, and processes that will maximize company fit goals and also adhere to the time and action calendar for both product development and production.
- Partner with Design, Product Development, Production, and suppliers to establish fit blocs, specs, quality and construction standards from concept to creation.
- Communicate and travel to vendors to review development samples, help troubleshoot issues, build strong partnerships with key focus on fit, process and Quality and understand factories capabilities.
- Oversee all fittings and monitor fit stages while adhering to the production calendar.
- Monitor and identify potential production, quality, and cost issues and provide recommendations while adhering to brand guidelines.
- Mentor direct reports on department vision, goals, objectives and foster growth development.
- Research competitors for new technologies, fit techniques and construction
- Maintain vendor How to Measure and grading guidelines for each category
Requirements
- Must be willing to work in person at our DTLA HQ office Monday through Thursday (and work remotely on Fridays)
- 10+ years of progressive work experience in the garment/ textile industry with experience in leading a team
- Four-year college or university degree with emphasis on clothing technology or manufacturing
- Strong experience in denim, suiting, leather goods and knits.
- Strong communication skills, both written and verbal
- In-depth knowledge of fit, garment construction, and finishing
- Results Oriented
- Strong technical skills, e.g. MS Office, Google Docs, PDM, Adobe Photoshop

Compensation
- The anticipated base salary range for this role is $110,000 - $130,000 per year.
