KPMG is currently seeking an Associate Director, Commercial Contracts (Tax) to join our Enterprise Commercial team.
Responsibilities:
- Apply advanced knowledge of contract management to drive a service-management centric and commercially aware strategy for delivery in the Enterprise Contract Management Office (ECMO) supporting Tax
- Use advanced knowledge of contract lifecycle management practices and provide thoughtful analysis in real-time, demonstrating an ability to review matters with varied fact patterns of medium complexity and consistently apply guidance in providing advice or other solutions to professionals
- Provide active coaching, mentoring, and knowledge-sharing with junior staff to advance their career development; manage and review those team members’ work product
- Contribute to planning for short term needs, such as projects and processes
Qualifications:
- Minimum eight years of recent experience in contract management, government/commercial contracting, procurement or in another capacity directly reviewing, drafting, and/or negotiating government/Commercial Contracts, preferably in the professional services industry
- Bachelor's degree from an accredited college/university; certified in Contract Management, for example, CFCM and WCC preferred
- Ability to recognize commercial risks and mitigations and to identify, analyze, and articulate improvement opportunities for contracting process based on understanding of contract lifecycle management, problematic contracting provisions, and market trends; comfortable working with data and ambiguity with the aptitude to both delve into the details and operational tactics while engaging meaningfully on the big picture events and/or overall strategy
- Able to manage programs and projects, applying expertise to make concrete decisions that impact the organization and the firm, as well as capability to establish credible relationships and become a trusted advisor to engagement teams and business leadership; understanding of and ability to advocate for leading contract lifecycle management practices, with an interest and acumen for understanding legal matters
- Outstanding verbal and written communication, reading comprehension, and critical thinking skills; effective at interacting with individuals at all levels of responsibility and authority; able to work collaboratively and independently
