Director Of Supply Chain - Indirect Strategic Sourcing (Vp Potential)

BWC Executive Group has been retained to help our global client find a seasoned Supply Chain expert passionate about Strategic Sourcing and supplier management. This position will be on-site, and our client offers a great financial package and opportunities for growth. This position is being looked at to take over as the VP.

Position Overview:

The Director of Supply Chain – Indirect Strategic Sourcing, reporting directly to the SVP Global Supply Chain & Logistics, holds a critical position in our organization. This role encompasses strategic management of sourcing and program deployment for all indirect materials and services, amounting to approximately $300M in spend. We are seeking an experienced professional with a proven track record in Indirect Procurement and expertise in SAP Ariba. The ideal candidate will not only lead the strategic management of our indirect spend but also possess the potential to step into the role of Vice President as part of their career progression.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Strategic Sourcing and Supplier Management:

• Develop and implement sourcing strategies for both Manufacturing and Professional Services Spend categories.
• Utilize expertise in SAP Ariba to optimize supplier selection, contract negotiation, and performance management.
• Cultivate strategic supplier relationships, ensuring the best total cost and performance.
• Lead cross-functional teams in brainstorming sessions to identify strategic commodities and cost-saving initiatives.
• Conduct market analysis and provide insights on industry trends impacting the business.

2. Leadership and Team Development:

• Provide strategic leadership and vision for indirect category management across the organization.
• Mentor and develop a team of indirect category specialists, aligning their efforts with enterprise strategy.
• Collaborate with global business units on Request for Proposals (RFPs) and Request for Quotations (RFQ's), guiding the screening and supplier selection process.
• Drive a culture of continuous improvement, innovation, and simplicity in legacy processes.

3. Supplier Diversity and Sustainability:

• Lead our Supplier Diversity strategy, expanding our commitment to a sustainable and diverse supply base.
• Drive initiatives that support Diversity spend goals, contributing to a socially responsible Supply Chain.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain, business, or related field required. MBA preferred.
• 8+ years of Supply Chain or business experience, specifically in Indirect Procurement.
• Expertise in SAP Ariba implementations and metrics implementation.
• Strong analytical skills, critical thinking, and ability to make independent decisions.
• Proven track record in Strategic Sourcing, supplier management, and contract negotiation.
• Exceptional leadership abilities, capable of managing complexity and conflict effectively.
• Demonstrated success in developing talent and driving results in a fast-paced environment.
