As the Director of Social Catering Sales, you will be responsible for selling social events (including weddings, galas, retirements, etc.) which directly affect the resort’s overall profitability. In this role, this individual will effectively solicit and secure new accounts provide outstanding service to our clients, to achieve the resort’s market share goals. You will work alongside a team of catering professionals and work closely with clients to understand their needs, preferences, and expectations, ultimately delivering extraordinary experiences that leave a lasting impression.
- Leadership: Provide strong leadership and direction to the Catering Sales team, fostering a culture of excellence, collaboration, and continuous improvement.
- Client Management: Build and maintain strong relationships with clients, understanding their vision for each event and providing personalized guidance and support throughout the sales process.
- Sales and Business Development: Drive sales and revenue growth by identifying new business opportunities, cultivating leads, and promoting our services through networking and marketing initiatives.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to build rapport and trust with clients, colleagues, and vendors.
- Excellent organizational and time management abilities, with the capacity to multitask and prioritize effectively in a fast-paced environment.
- Creative problem-solving skills and a keen attention to detail, with a commitment to delivering exceptional experiences.
- Proficiency in event management software, Salesforce, Microsoft Office Suite, and other relevant tools and technology.
Experience, Education, & Licensure:
- Bachelor's degree in Hospitality Management, Business Administration, or a related field preferred.
- Minimum of [5] years of experience in catering, event planning, or hospitality management, with a proven track record of success in a leadership role.
- Luxury Resort experience preferred but not required
