Summary / Objective

This leadership role emphasizes Sales Channel Management for the Americas Region and involves the ability to provide strategic growth oversight as a vital member of the Leadership Team.
The Director of Sales is responsible for implementing policies, objectives, and initiatives, collaborating with corporate leaders, and driving research and market intelligence for business development opportunities. Leading by example, this role involves owning select client relationships and leveraging industry connections to foster continuous growth.
Essential Functions/Summary
The Director of Sales, Americas, reports to the President/CEO, Americas, and is a pivotal member of the leadership team. Responsibilities include developing and executing commercial strategies, understanding the market, maintaining customer relationships, and working closely with all functions to drive Order Intake (OIT), profitable revenue growth, and customer satisfaction. This leader will manage a team, support business strategy, develop key business processes, and align the organization with objectives for significant growth.
The Director of Sales will directly manage a team of local and remote employees, including the National Sales Manager, LATAM Sales Manager, Business Development Manager, and the Pharmaceutical Business Development Manager.
Responsibilities:
- Sales Leadership for the Americas region: direct, indirect, and distributor-based organization.
- Serve as the brand of Anritsu at industry events and conferences including public presentations.
- Achieve revenue growth through sales and marketing partnership and execution.
- Serve as a thought leader in developing and implementing strategic initiatives.
- Collaborate with business leaders to define sales channels and pricing.
- Balance current business goals with planning and investment for future growth.
- Lead and develop the sales teams, focusing on improving individual sales success and team competence.
- Set goals and develop sales metrics to meet organizational growth objectives.
- Develop pricing policies for high-profile customers and partners.
- Prepare annual and quarterly budgets and staffing plans.
- Foster a culture of collaboration and success within and outside the department.
- Provide input on market trends and customer requests for new product development.
- Act as a liaison to global R&D, presenting a voice of the customer perspective.
- Partner with Engineering to develop cost-effective, innovative differentiators supporting a market-leading strategy.

The salary is based on experience. This position is eligible for a variable annual bonus based on company, team, and individual performance. Qualifications:
- Accomplished sales leader with proven results.
- Bachelor’s degree (Engineering or Science preferred); MBA preferred.
- Minimum 10 years senior leadership experience in a dynamic commercial environment across the Americas region.
- Minimum 7 years of experience as a people/team manager.
- Proven sales channel management.
- Skills in leadership, strategic selling, negotiating, presentation, and financial/business.
- Ability to build collaborative partnerships with functional support areas.
- Strong leadership with the ability to influence, inspire, and lead change.
- Excellent communication skills, verbal and written.
- Proven ability to address difficult problems with a balanced perspective.
- Ability to operate within a matrix structure, prior experience in a large corporate or complex organization.
- Ability to travel up to 50%.
