Job Summary
Join our team as a Director of Revenue Cycle Management who will be responsible for overseeing key performance indicators (KPIs) in billing, compliance, CCM and value-based programs, UCA accreditation, insurance contracts and credentialing, eClinicalWorks updates, and administrative duties. The role involves ensuring compliance, implementing value-based programs, driving profitability, managing accreditation, overseeing insurance contracts, and demonstrating leadership competencies.
Roles & Responsibilities
Billing and Coding (This will account for 45% of your performance). KPIs are Insurance Eligibility and Chart audits; Patient account receivables; denial management; Scribe oversight and training
Compliance (This will account for 10% of your performance). KPIs are: 100% of charts meet coding guidelines; 80% of charts are completed within 72 hours; Compliance Plan updated annually.
CCM, PCM, and Other Value-Based Programs (This will account for 20% of your performance). KPIs are CCM enrollment and CCM billing. Attaining annual MIPS measures for all providers; Quarterly implementing 1 value-based program into the practice.
UCA Accreditation (This will account for 5% of your performance). KPIs are: All Logs are stored electronically and complete for any spot checks; Standards are met at all our clinics as determined by quarterly spot checks.; Attainment of accreditation every 3 years and include all new locations in the accreditation.
Insurance contracts and Credentialing :(This will account for 10% of your performance). A clear understanding of Payor and plan participation, decreasing denials based on contractual issues.
E-Clinical Works Update: Updating billing codes on EMR if there are any price changes and updating the self-pay price list and fee schedules.
Administrator on duty (AOD): Being available to answer phone calls from staff.
Meeting and exceeding customer expectations.
Skills and Qualifications
Minimum: Bachelor’s degree in Healthcare Administration, Public Health, Social Work, Business Administration, Economics, Industrial Engineering, or related field
Preferred: Master’s degree in Healthcare Administration, Public Health, Social Work, Business Administration, Economics, Industrial Engineering, or related field.
Five (5) years of relevant experience in the management of population health-related programs such as health system management.
Proficient knowledge of HIPAA regulations, medical terminology, and basic clinical procedures.
Bilingual skills (Spanish and English) are preferred but not required
Experience in using electronic medical records like ECW.
Knowledge of health systems operations, health policy, and/or health care contracting
Knowledge of population health programs and concepts
Expert team management and facilitation skills
Advanced written and verbal communication skills
A high degree of professionalism and competency in dealing with a variety of individuals
Demonstrated ability to lead diverse teams to achieve outcomes as well as form and maintain collaborative relationships
Ability to independently organize and prioritize work
Skilled in conflict management
Ability to identify data needed for both assessment and decision-making purposes
Ability to deploy appropriate data sources, analysis methods, and effective communication of analytical results
Demonstrated ability to develop, implement, and evaluate population health programs
Demonstrated project and portfolio management skills
Must be willing to travel for meetings
