Job Summary
Oversee Good 2 Go Retail Technology and networking, including internet, point of sale systems, and fuel technology to keep our stores running smoothly every day for our team members and friends (customers).
As the Director of Retail Technology, you will
Lead New Store Set Up and StoreSupport
- Design store back-office systems that provides consistency across stores, reliability, and security
- Order equipment and set up back-office computer and technology at each new store
- Create configuration plan for Verifone Commanders and install Commander correctly in each store
- Lead back-office clean up (including re-configuring Verifone Commander) at existing stores to ensure consistency across all stores
- Ensure that each store has stable internet connection, including back up for consistency
- Monitor internet connection and system stability daily to detect issues before stores see them
- Maintain store back-office equipment and organization
- Train Store Managerson store systemsas needed
- Configure PDI (accounting software) to the Commander
- Ensure POS system and payment keypads work properly at each store
- Work closely with operations team to configure POS so it's user-friendly for our team members
- Monitor that all payment types are set up correctly and working consistently, including tap & pay
- Set up EBT payments for each store and coordinate with G2G Controller
- Support loyalty technology implementation and maintenance
- Stay informed about changing POS technology and recommend future changes
- Develop dispenser mapping plan to Verifone Commander and ensure dispensers are mapped consistently across all stores
- Monitor Verifone Commanders to ensure they send accurate price updates to fuel dispensers
- Lead and monitor pricing automation to ensure street signs accurately reflect fuel price updates
- Monitor Veeder Root inputs to Teton Tech to ensure fuel team has visibility to supply at each store
- Submit maintenance tickets for dispensers and price signs when troubleshooting determines issues are hardware vs. network related
- Stay informed about changing fuel technology and recommend future enhancements
- Create standard operating procedures for all store technology and networking
- Support technology needed for new initiatives

- Oversee, manage, and direct all outsourced technology work streams
- Work will be in an office setting and in stores.
- Able to sit for extended periods of time.
- Able to stand for moderate periods of time.
- Able to move freely around work location (internal and external).
- Able to lift up to 25 lbs.
- Able to move about office/store setting to complete responsibilities.
- Frequent use of phone, computer, store, and office equipment.
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
Required
- 3 years' experience with networking and Tier 3 support
- Undergraduate degree in a related field or acceptable combination of education and experience
- Excellent technology, networking, and computer schools
- Ability to quickly learn, document, and develop company systems and processes
- Outstanding empathy for store teams and friends (customers)
- Exceptional problem solving skills
- Strong verbal and written communication skills
- Able to effectively multitask
- Adheres to the company's values and ethical expectations
- 5 or more years' experience in networking and Tier 3 support
- Verifone Commander certified
- Experience in convenience store or other retail
Other Duties
Examples of Tier 3 support: Diagnose and repair mid-to-high level computer issues, diagnose and repair complex 3rd party software issues, diagnose and repair complex network issues, provide high-level support for all IT-related enterprise equipment and networks, manage and provide technical support for MS Teams licenses and MS Teams Phone system, implement MS Azure and Active Directory permissions under Network Administrator, and troubleshoot/test all issues not solvable by Tier 1 or Tier 2 support staff.
