Position Overview
The Associate Director, Development for the College of Engineering is responsible for engaging alumni and friends and building meaningful relationships that lead to investment in college priorities. This position manages a portfolio of potential donors as well as other college/unit efforts including annual giving efforts and fundraising for Engineering EXPO. This position is a key member of the college fundraising team and works collaboratively to achieve fundraising goals for the College of Engineering.

Position Qualifications
Required Experience
- Two years of experience in sales, marketing, public relations, event management, development or other work experience which involves customer service and direct contact with clients, constituents, customers, or prospective customers.
- Experience working in an environment dependent on developing and maintaining relationships.
Required Education
- Bachelor's degree

- Willingness to travel and work nonstandard hours and weekends.
Additional Preferred
- Experience, education or working knowledge of the college's disciplines.
- Experience with volunteer boards and committees.
- Demonstrated knowledge of marketing and public relations experience.
- Experience working with corporations on partnerships or sponsorships.
- Demonstrated excellent writing and communication skills.
- Possess effective organizational skills.
- Familiarity with database computer systems and applications, preferably with customer relationship management systems.
- Knowledge of principles and techniques of fundraising, preferably in higher education.
