Job Description
LUK seeks a Director of Quality Assurance to provide dynamic leadership and ongoing development of the agency’s performance, quality improvement and compliance activities. The ideal candidate will bring passion to LUK’s core mission of supporting staff to provide the highest quality service to our communities, families, and individuals while ensuring integrity and safety. The Director highlights the changes that programs and staff make in people’s lives and presents to internal and external stakeholders how the organization’s quality work positively impacts the communities and people we serve.
Responsibilities Include
The Director of Quality Assurance is responsible for directing and supervising the work process of the Quality Assurance Department. The Director is charged with ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements, contractual obligations, and LUK’s policies and procedures. The position is identified as a member of the agency’s Leadership Team.
· Acquiring a deep understanding and commitment to LUK’s Mission, Vision and Values and programming and advocacy
· Supervise the work of the Quality Assurance department including individual supervision of the Quality Assurance Coordinator and Quality Improvement Specialist.
· Ensure consistent quality of LUK services by engaging in the continuous quality monitoring process from program development, implementation, review and improvement planning.
· Provide organizational leadership, oversee, and assist the QA Coordinator in the agency’s Council on Accreditation (COA) re- accreditation process every four years.
· Oversee and assist in the development and implementation of the annual Performance and Quality Improvement Plan and present findings to the Board of Directors and agency staff.
· Partner with program staff to conduct annual program evaluations and implement quality improvement projects
· Collaborate with information systems to measure, track, and evaluate client outcomes
· Partner with LUK’s Management Team to design, implement and monitor the agency’s risk management plan
· Collaborate with the Human Resources Department to enhance training activities that will assist staff in providing quality services and complying with the agency’s policies, procedures, and practices.
· Incorporate a diversity, equity and inclusion approach in all quality and compliance activities
· Co-Facilitate the agency’s Quality and Compliance Committee with the agency’s Clinical Director.
· Lead the internal investigation team for the organization. Complete investigations, train back up investigators, proofread all reports and disseminate finding to the CEO and the Quality and Compliance Committee.
· Engage in professional development by studying trends in and developments in Quality Assurance; participating in educational opportunities; maintaining personal networks; and participating in professional and trade organizations.
· Active participation in Leadership for the organization including collaborating with colleagues
Knowledge and Experience Required
· Experience: A minimum of 3-5 years of experience working in a Human Services Agency
· Values: A demonstrated passion for and commitment to improving programmatic and service performance, quality improvement and compliance activities
· Degree: Master’s degree in a human services related field required
· Supervision and/or management experience required.
· Experience working with children, adolescents, families and at risk youth preferred.
· Research/evaluation experience preferred.
