Job Description
The Director of Quality and Safety will act as the primary liaison for comprehensive quality assurance,
Job Duties:
- Ensure compliance with operating conditions, HAACP, Safety, Food Safety, cGMP, and packaging procedures.
- Oversee product storage, QC, and QA test results.
- Control and analyze QA and QC data, conduct customer QA analysis, and manage essential quality processes.
- Lead safety programs and manage the end-to-end customer complaint process.
- Oversee Quality Teams (HACCP, Internal Audit, SQF, EH&S) and coordinate the environmental program.
- Handle defect classification and recommend product disposition on non-compliance reports.
- Supervise plant sanitation, and pest control programs, and ensure precise product routing.
- Execute supervisory and QA procedures, serving as the vital link between the plants and regulatory agencies.
- Manage audits, facilitate employee training, maintain SOPs and SSOPs, and provide effective oversight of Quality Operations.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in a related field; advanced degree preferred.
- Proven experience in a leadership role within quality management, preferably in the food industry.
- In-depth knowledge of SQF, HACCP, cGMP, PCQI, and ISO and regulatory requirements.
- Strong communication and leadership skills.
- Detail-oriented with excellent problem-solving abilities.
- Ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
