Jackson Park Hospital is looking for an experienced Director and Quality and Risk Management with at least 3 years of Healthcare/Hospital experience.
Essential Responsibilities:
* Facilities and implement the Clinical Pathways, Performance Improvement and Core Measures.
* Upload, abstract and approve all Core Measures/Inpatient Quality Reporting.
* Review all Concurrent/Retorspective Core Measures.
* Collaborates with all disciplines to achieve quality patient outcomes.
* Prepares periodic and special reports as requested.
* Collect and analyze incident reports.
* Prepares investigation reports following incidents as appropriate; document all information available; initiate plan for improvement.
* Provide monthly/quarterly analysis of information from each occurrence into a database. The database will include date, time, location, severity and type of occurrence as well as information about patients and staff involved.
* Information contained in the database will be summarized and reviewed by the Safety Committee and quarterly report given to the QA Committee.
* On-Call 24/7 with specific requirement to be present on campus for all reportable events to investigate and provide oversight.
* Participates in developing and conducting educational and in-service programs.
* Participates in clinical CQI projects by data collection, analyzing and interpreting data.
* Collects, evaluates, and maintains data concerning patient injuries, worker’s compensation and other risk-related data.
* Provides weekly and monthly report of all concurrent/retrospective Core Measures.
* Provides, daily weekly, and quarterly report to the SVP on incidents, claims and claim payments.
* Coordinate claims with Employer’s Claim Service (ECS) for review and approval.
* Acts as the liaison to attorneys, insurance companies and individuals; and coordinate the scheduling of employees for depositions.
* Participate in daily compliance rounds and provide analysis as required.
* Performs other duties as assigned.
Qualifications:
- Maintains current licensure and regulatory requirements. Master’s degree in Health Administration or a Registered Nurse.
- Attends in service and professional educational programs.
- Serves on Hospital committees as requested and performs other duties as assigned.
