Position Summary and Responsibilities:
• The purpose of the Director of Procurement and Pricing position is to develop and execute Procurement and Pricing strategies for all manufacturing divisions to enhance sales growth and profitability.
Responsibilities include but are not limited to:
• Oversee administration of current vendor contracts and future vendor RFPs with a focus on their ability to enhance organizational value and efficiency.
• Develop KPIs to evaluate vendor performance such as market intel, fill rates and product yields.
• Source and implement new vendors into our supplier portfolio plus manage relationships with current suppliers.
• Develop a centralized procurement program that adds value and efficiency for all manufacturing divisions.
• Process purchase orders; develop bids and proposals; reconcile any invoice discrepancies.
• Collaborate with VP of Manufacturing and Director of Sales to understand customer requirements, market dynamics, and product positioning.
• Assist Director of Sales in pricing negotiations with key customers to ensure optimal pricing agreements.
• Develop and maintain pricing models, tools, and systems to support pricing decisions and analysis (including margins, pricing elasticity, and Pricing variance) to increase manufacturing profitability and sales.
• Provide insights and recommendations to VP of Manufacturing and Director of Sales based on pricing analytics and market intelligence to help ensure we are aligned with business objectives.
• Stay abreast of industry trends, regulatory changes, and competitive landscape affecting pricing strategies.

Education and/or Work Experience Requirements:
• Bachelor’s degree required, preferably in Animal Science or AG related field.
• 3+ years of field sales or procurement with a meat processing manufacturer, preferred.
• Computer literacy, including Microsoft Office; excel skills and production software.
• Knowledge of accounting, business processes, controls and regulations in the Food Service manufacturing industry preferred.
• Ability to work in a collaborative and fast paced environment, often serving as a key contributor to cross functional projects within manufacturing.
• Ability to Lead, Manage, and Develop Others
• Strategic mindset with a focus on innovation, problem-solving, and driving results.

Physical Requirements:
• Ability to perform the essential job functions consistent safely and successfully with the ADA, FMLA and other federal, state and local standards, including meeting qualitative and/or quantitative productivity standards.
• Ability to maintain regular, punctual attendance consistent with the ADA, FMLA and other federal, state and local standards
