Director of Pharmacy– Full Time

As a full time, exempt CPS Solutions, LLC Director ofPharmacy,you will oversee all pharmacy operations including planning, organizing, controlling, and supervising activities, according to hospital policies, standards of practice of the profession, and state and federal laws. You will recommend innovations in the practice and function of the pharmacy to hospital administration and carry out mutually agreed upon programs with assistance from a full support team.
Schedule: This position is scheduled to work 40 hours per week, Monday through Friday day shift.
About the Facility: Houston Physicians’ Hospital features 15 private inpatient bedrooms, 12 bed brand new observation unit, 18 pre-op beds, 24 PACU beds, 11 operating room suites, 2 procedure rooms and 2 cath lab suites that feature state-of-the-art medical technology. Patients with a procedure requiring an overnight stay will recover in one of our 21 private rooms designed to calm the mind and enhance the recovery process. CPS Solutions, LLC has partnered with the hospital to manage the day to day operations of this pharmacy. This position is an employee of CPS Solutions, LLC.
About the Pharmacy: The pharmacy utilizes Paragon for order entry and Omnicell dispensing cabinets. Pharmacy hours of operation are Monday-Friday from 6:30AM-6:00PM.
Required Qualifications:
- BS or PharmD from an accredited School of Pharmacy
- Texas Pharmacist licensure in good standing
- Management experience in a hospital setting
- Ability to solve problems, establish trust and credibility
- Demonstrated teaching, relevant professional publications, and involvement with Professional organizations
- Demonstrated ability to work independently, set priorities, make critical decisions, respond to client concerns, and work cooperatively with other staff
Hospital Requirements:
- (PPD) TB Skin Test - Proof of negative TB skin test within the last 12 months
- (MMR) Measles, Mumps and Rubella or A Blood Titer proving immunity
- Varicella - (2) documented doses or A Blood Titer proving
- Hep B3 Series (or declination)
- (Flu) Influenza-required for hire between Oct 1st-April 30th
- COVID Vaccine
