Directs and coordinates all aspects of Outpatient and community-based Physical Therapy. Responsible for staffing, equipment, throughput, education, business development, marketing, collaboration and revenue cycle of Physical Therapy Services. Responsible for identifying and developing new services and therapies while monitoring the changing landscape of Outpatient services within Maryland. Develop and implement metrics to measure financial and operational performance and assist in developing best practices at GBMC Healthcare. Assist in the analysis and implementation of annual operating budget to improve margins. Implement strategies and develop programs that are a part of the overall business strategy.
Education
Master's or Doctorate in Physical Therapy from an accredited institution; Master's Degree in Business Administration or Healthcare Administration preferred.
Experience
At least five (5) years of related management experience in a healthcare environment.

Principal Duties and Responsibilities
Business Development
- Assess opportunities for growth and expansion.
- Monitor referrals, orders and market forces impacting business growth.
- Identify and develop new services and therapies.
Financial Management:
- Develop and manage Physical Therapy budgets.
- Develops operating budget and makes recommendations for capital budget in consultation with appropriate Hospital staff.
- Monitors program expenses and revenue.
Human Resources:
- Supervision of staff in the daily operations of Physical Therapy locations
- Facilitates training and development efforts.
- Maintains employee competencies.
- Monitors and reviews work performance of the staff.
- Interviews and selects personnel.
Service Excellence
- Monitors, investigates and responds to customer feedback, modifying systems and processes as needed in all areas of the Physical Therapy.
- Leads a model of service delivery that results in top average performance in employee, physician and patient satisfaction when compared with national standards.
- Recognizes the role of insurers and the importance of their relationship to their assigned operations.
Quality Initiatives
- Develop and modify policies and procedures to ensure safe and coordinated Physical Therapy and patient care
- Designs and modifies patient care activities and workflow to optimize the patient-in/patient-out process, patient outcomes, and efficient use of resources.
Marketing
- Analyze market for Physical Therapy Services and develop and implement strategies to increase patient volume.
- Work with corporate marketing to develop a brand for the Physical Therapy program.
